The Boom Room is a private recording studio, fully equipped rehearsal room, and exclusive event space owned and operated by drummer/engineer/multimedia producer Gary Dann. Located in the artistically diverse Fishtown section of Philadelphia, PA, it features a 500 sq foot "live" space, The Main Room, with 19 feet high ceilings, tiger bamboo floors, and upper mezzanine made of 100 year old reclaimed wood from the original structure. Overlooking the Main Room is the studio's "floating" control room, The Space Pod, which features a blazing fast 8 core Mac-based multimedia production station with huge monitor display, a wood lined vocal isolation booth with a window to the production desk, and a cozy leather couch. Both rooms have a door to the 1700 sq foot outdoor space called The Dutch Patio. Completely private and fenced in, with its 20 foot by 9 foot outdoor performance stage, 3 custom welded charcoal barrel barbecue grills, 2nd floor deck, and a built in bar with benches crafted out of reclaimed wood. The Dutch Patio is a perfect spot for a Spring/Summer/Fall private outdoor event and a great place to take a break from your recording or rehearsal studio session.

The Dutch Patio (when not in use for an outdoor event) doubles as a free secure gated parking lot for up to three vehicles (bands can park a tour vehicle and load gear in / out of the studio securely). Just 5 minutes from Center City by public transportation, it is one block from the Girard St. el SEPTA train stop.

The Boom Room hosts many classes, community workshops, and events. It exists to be a positive force in the community and a center for the arts in Philadelphia. Stay updated on all things Boom through our Twitter and Facebook pages.
