About The Boom Room

Our Story

The Boom Room is a recording studio, a multi-camera live video broadcast studio, a fully equipped band rehearsal room, and an indoor/outdoor private event venue owned and operated since 2011 by drummer and music producer Gary Dann. It is located in heart of the artistically burgeoning and culturally diverse Fishtown section of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, PA.

This studio regularly hosts a variety of recording sessions, band rehearsals, livestream video webcasts, community education workshops, music production classes, an open improvised songwriting workshop called Music Church, indoor/outdoor events, art gallery shows, and is working with local families to develop a neighborhood youth music mentorship program.

The Boom Room Music Church

The Boom Room Music Church Project is a free and open collaborative improvisational songwriting workshop held at The Boom Room. It is a free opportunity for emerging musicians to meet and develop their spontaneous ideas into internationally released studio recordings.
